Bimmercode Head Unit error reading coding data

First time user of Bimmercode. Has anyone received an "Error while reading coding data" error when going into the Headunit menu item (I'm looking to enable the JCW Tachometer in my HUD) ? If so, how do you sort the issue out?

FYI, the original version I had for the firmware was NBTevo_E16382A, I had it upgraded to NBTevo_M17345I )which provided me with Apple CarPlay), I wonder if that could be the issue?

I think that's correct. Once you've modded your head unit (like to add CarPlay), BimmerCode doesn't work anymore. You'd have to use esys.
