I had a mk4 golf r32; lots of boy racers convert diesel and small engined golfs to look like r32's in theuk . For its whole time with me were i to stop at lights someone would want a race; even had family (3 kids in the back) in a mk1 citroen picasso try to race me-so funny. Of course i had to show them the engine really was a 3.2l v6 ( chipped, filter and exhaust too-not me previous owner did that! ) very gently as i don't race on the road! I do miss that!Gave us lots of giggles but my wife developed a bad neck!

My view is do what you want as it's your MINI.

There are a million combination which saves us all having look alike MINI's.

Apart from some people who remove the badge from base models they are also people with modded MINI's who also debadge.

The rear one is easy to remove with a hairdryer and dental floss, then a good buff and polish. The front will take a bit longer, you will need to remove the grill, as said above the badge is part of the grill but you might be able to remove the backing with a Dremel or similar.
This dental floss hack seems to be very effective, thanks for the heads up!

Debadging the tailgate (specifically the "Cooper" letters, not the logo) is actually nice. I don't understand why cars need to have their name written on it, it's silly!! (like having a permanent "Hello, my name is..." tag) :ROFLMAO:

You can also use clay to rub away the glue.
