Dual-zone climate control issues

Sorry probably a stupid question, user error.

I was passenger in my car today and someone else was driving. 9ºC outside. Air con on, my temp set to the lowest, 16ºC, (take medication that heats my body up...). Drivers on 21ºC and complained hands were cold. Their air con was blowing out cold, same as mine.

I put mine up to 21ºC and drivers site heated up.

Noticed the drivers side dial had a solid line under the 3 wavy lines, see the crap pic. Not seen this before, passenger side didn't have this solid line.

Any tips?

Thanks.

The manual is not clear on this but I wonder if it shows that the driver's side had to use a heater to warm the air, since your 16°C setting basically set the airflow to cold, meaning the driver's side needed supplementary heating to warm up. It might take a little while for this heating to take effect.

Thanks for the tips guys and sorry for taking a while to get back.

I've never had an issue with me driving, nice and chilly in the drivers seat and warm for the passenger...

Perhaps left is indeed dominant if left is cooler than right, but they work independently if right is cooler than left...if that makes any sense...

Would that be possible?
