How to download the latest software!

Hi All new to the forum and the Mini, its a 2016 cooper S and I downloaded this update, my car showed:-
Media MB-001.047.003
Telephone TB-001.047.003

I loaded up the download onto a memory stick and plugged it in...
It updated and now shows:-
Media MB-001.061.023
Telephone TB-001.062.032
Add-on: HB-001.062.032

Just wondered what the HB add-on is?

Just updated here as well and got that animation as well, turned off the car and started it again no animation.... very strange..

Ok, I initially had similar symptoms, try formatting the USB stick to exFAT and set to 8192 Kilobytes allocation units, then copy the file back and try, I have got past the defective USB stage, but now states the file is incorrect for the car, the recent issue as others have suggested is a slightly smaller file size.......wasted a lot of time on this!:( file I am currently trying is UPD09041.BIN size 131 600 KB, the previous issue was 131 609 KB.

I have the same file as you however it is 128mb i will try the memory stick tip and let you know if it works. If it does I will upload it to my server and send you the link :)

This just worked for me. Using the BMW UK site above, entered the last 7 digits of the VIN, and downloaded UPD09041.bin.

On my mac, used Disk Utility on a USB stick to erase and format in ExFat format. Copied the UPD09041.bin to the USB stick.

Put it in the Mini USB slot, foot off the brake, pressed start (did not start the engine, just the ignition), and followed Mini software update instructions.

Before the update, status was MB and TB 001.060.001. After the update, status shows MB-001.062.040, TB-001.063.040, HB-001.062.032.

For reference, my F55 is a 2/18 build.
