Led headlight coding

i have had to replace the led lights on my F56, i scoured a set of mini replacements 2nd hand units.

The car was previously fitted with led lights so should be straight forward.

Disconnect the battery and plug in the each unit and they turn on ok, turn off the ignition and retry they loose connection and throw up faults on the center screen.

Any help in regards to the required coding ?

You need to do LED initialization in ISTA-D/ISTA+

Ok thank you for the reply, how is this done. Is it dealer only or something that can be down loaded .

Hi Overdraft. What was the outcome with your LEDs? I have got a 2019 Cooper with a hole in the plastic clear cover, taped over with clear tape and working okay. An independent mini garage has said that the cover cannot be replaced and a whole new assembly is required. That will be £940 fitted thank you very much. So it looks like a second hand item will need to be sourced. Most of them don't come with ECU or modules etc so are those items easily swapped over from my unit? I can envisage spending £300 on a part assembly and then having to find a garage that would be prepared to sort it out.
Does anyone have any advise on how I get this busted light fixed?
