MMi or enable Android auto

After looking at MMi Android Auto boxes For our 2019 F55 Cooper S I've seen it mentioned that it may be possible that AA may be already installed but just needs activating. How do I find out if this is possible on the below head unit in the photos below. and if it is possible where do I get the software or code from.
Also it would be great to know which head unit I have, there's no navigation or touch screen.
If it is not possible has anyone bought an MMi from Ali express or am I better off buying from a UK/EU supplier.
If there are any on Ali x please link or if not links to any others please.

Hi I have a Cooper SE ( EV ) 2020 model with 8.8 touchscreen with carplay in fullscreen. I wonder to know , is it possible to put Android auto ? with an hardware update ? if yes , how ? thanks in advance.

I’m guessing an MMI also is not a solution, unless you retrofit a different headunit. I believe you have a BIS headunit, in which the screen and headunit are one piece. MMIs work by interrupting the signal between the headunit and the screen. Since your headunit and screen are likely one piece, this won’t be possible.
