There is a fob setting that only allows rear doors to be opened from the fob when the other doors are unlocked, this is to stop them accidentally opening when a key is pressed in a pocket.

Depending on software version this can either be set from the screen or requires the use of something like bimmercode to modify.

Think there was an issue with doors not opening from the fob. I had mine back to the dealer with that issue and they claimed they did nothing but the seals had been dressed with something, I’ve since kept them clean with whatever cleaner I’ve got to hand. I think there was a tech note about doors falling out of alignment and requiring realignment.

 

The doors had to be realigned as it was out on the rear qtr, have you got a link to this tech note ?

 

Sorry no link. All I can say is when I had the issue at the end of 2018, a service manager told me that on review of the technical library there were two notes released on door alignment; hopefully some one on here might have access to the tech library?
