The website address bmsatnavupdates.co, does not seem to match the ‘who we are’ on their own site, which instead says ’Our website address is: http://bmnavigationupdate.com’.

The site does state they sell ‘after market’ software, I assume this means , not genuine OEM: ‘BMNAVIGATION Update sells after market navigation maps’.

Hopefully you did not register for an account, as they state clearly in doing so, you make private data public. Did you pay using Apple Pay? If you used a credit card, out of an abundance of caution you might have it cancelled and reissued.

This is really helpful, thank you so much. The thread seems somewhat confusing but I've looked at your recommendation and that appears straightforward. I'd be wanting the USB version rather than a DVD and it seems they can offer it.

I bought my 2017 Clubman in May this year. I've wanted a new Mini for 20 years but children made it impossible. They are teenagers now so I don't need the space for all the extra gear that younger ones generate. My first car was a 1977 Mini 1000. I loved it. Of course the new one's nothing like it but you have to grow up don't you?

This forum looks great and I'm sure I'll be using it a lot from now on.

 

If you have a car less than 3 years old, you can use the MINI Download Manager to update them yourself, for free.

Goto the MINI website for your country. Login, and select "My Vehicles". Select your car. Then it should offer you to download the MINI Download Manager. I have just tried it on the UK site though, and it appears to be missing now.
