Does anyone know where I can download software updates for a 2018 model? Mini says it needs to be a dealer? Mini saying it needs to be a dealer but on the cars system it says it can be a usb update? I have already done the map just the OS system update I require

BMW-MINI has a website (link below) that you can download and install updates via USB (if available via VIN), however, this is for Bluetooth and phone compatibility. If there are updates for the DME/ECU or iDrive a MINI Service Center or Authorized MINI Service Center would be able to perform updates.
As @Carl76 mentioned the MINI Service Department/Dealerships are always more expensive.
