Will do! After I drop the car off in Kennesaw on thursday I'll post a reply of how it went!
i have been really happy with the kennesaw dealer

i have the same cracking sound from mine on leaving a parking space. i have assumed it was related to my NM springs. I may need to take mine in also but am worried they will say the springs caused it.

You'll definitely be there before me! Let me know what they say and if they put up a fight or not!

Okay, So I took my car in friday. As soon as I walked in and said " I'm having some popping noise coming from what I've been told is th-" and he cut me off and said "Control arms. Yep, we got it. Just got to order them. Come back in 10 days and we'll have them installed in 8 hours."

So, he already knew what it was going to be. I'll update you again after the install!

Okay. So it took 10 days for the control arms to be shipped from Germany. Once they arrived, MOK called me and told me to bring my car. I brought my F56 up there yesterday morning at 10AM. I got a call around 330PM that the car was done and ready for me to come pick up. I'm leaving work here soon to go pick it up. The tech has assured me that the popping noise is gone!!

So, fingers crossed it's fixed!

If your F56 is making this noise, I would call your mini dealer and have them order the control arms!

I think I'm having this noise problem too.
45.000 kms...............it's a bit early !!
I'll have to go to Mini, as the car is under warranty......................
Hopefully you have better luck than me...here in Canada the dealer is deciding to be sticky about this issue and says they can't get replacement parts....more fighting on the way... I will win!

4 MONTH UPDATE!

Just to bring some clarification to this post and maybe revive a real answer

4 months into my replacement parts, and I have yet to hear a single squeak from the suspension!

This has solved my problem!!

Thanks to MOK and the great people of this forum.

I hope this helps!

Update from me...So I inquired at the dealer again to see if the "mystery part" they said was pending a redesign is in production and as it turns out a dealer around here has one...(whether it was a lie or not) they said it's the strut mount bearring??? I told them it's likely the control arm but they disagreed for now...It goes in on the 8th so we will see!!!

Yep mine does it too...been to the dealer about it and apparently there is a "notice" on the control arms but it is currently pending a redesign...the dealer said it's not a safety concern just more annoying than anything but until mini creates a redesigned part we will have to wait...

i also get a pop style noise but only when moving and turning the wheel from a complete stop. is it the same typical annoying noise i am getting? and not a concern? anybody please let me know! thanks

Hi, first sorry about my english.

I had the same problem with mine mcs f56 2015, but i fix it easily, you just have to tight a screw that is hidden in the control arm, to see it, yo have to move out the plastic cover untherneth the engine.

i figured out when i take out the front wheels and i start to move the brake disc outside inside, and i saw how the control arm move behind the brake disc outside inside.
