I picked my F55 Cooper S up, built Nov 2014 a few months back. 2nd hand from approved used mini dealer. They told me everything was updated during the cars "prep". See image below.
I actually have the same exact version F56 Cooper built May 2015, I picked it up a year ago as a certified pre-owned and they said that it was updated, is that the last version?
I also checked my navigation version and it is from 2015, do you know if I can ask them to update it to an actual version or would I have to pay for it?

Yes, i had a brake fluid change on mine just before Christmas and at the dealers (NOT the one i bought the car from) said it was all up to date. It seems the more you ask, the more you get confused! I even tried an update via the BMW / MINI software update on line using the USB stick, but it failed every time. I just gave up worrying about it.......

I also have the original 2015 navigation maps in my F56 Cooper SD - Mini will provide you with an update but you have to pay handsomely for it. 3rd party websites offer the software for a cheaper price.

actually I have not had any trouble with the version I had, I was just surprised that they did not update the maps during their check/update for mini next cars. That is why I thought I could maybe get them to do it for free or so. I will check with my dealer next month.

Map updates are definitely not free, they are about £160.

Software updates for the front end system are available here:

I don’t know if this site is really up to date

I have Cooper D from 2017 but model 2016

And the site you say (and also in visual boost) says update is for cars untill 2015.??

So i dont really think this is the lastest software for my car

Current software in my mini :

that does not look like the latest version at all :S but maybe am wrong. But how could they do just a navi update to the maps and leave the software without checking it?!
It really feels that you have to tell them what to check, but my advice would be leave it in peace if you don't have any trouble with it.

Is anyone having issues with the webpage to get the Mini software updates? the link to the website I found is showing a 404 error for me :(. I just bought my mini last night from a Toyota dealer and it appears that the software is way old. I was going to see if I could update it myself since the nearest dealer is 8 hours away. I have a 2015 MCS with visual boost and connected, no nav.

Hi guys

I bought a subscription to the official TIS a few months ago to try and help me fix some issues on my F56. I downloaded a number of TSBs and a lot of the specify installing new software to rectify issues. I was thinking about using the information in these TSBs to put together some release notes for each software release. It's quite a lot of work but it might help people - would anyone be interested in this?
