I investigated a little, and the led ring around the display has only 3 wires (red, brown and blue). So I suppose there is something missing here, considering that dash panel has 4 wires. Anyone with knowledge about this wiring would give some hint?

@Heddon where you able to add the trim panel from the led Ring? I just have basic Lightning so cannot do foot light

No, and I believe it's not possible. The led ring is acting also as a event indicator and I don't have any clue how the trim panel led would be able to show heating color change, or volume change. Maybe some electrician would be able to check the signals on 4-pin led ring connection and invent some solution, but I'm almost sure that is not a straight on connection.

I’m a bit confused trying to follow this thread as people are referencing lots of different parts/connectors/wiring for different models and I’m stuck. I have a right-hand drive F56 Cooper S 2015 (pre-lci) and have already received the correct illuminated trim from my dealer (51456819877), just need to wire it in now.

What I’ve gathered is that I need to wire the new panel into the footwell lighting circuit because the wiring is not already there as it’s an older model.

Can you please confirm to connect the wires to the new trim piece I need 3 of these connectors 61139277165 and 12 of these 61139230107? There is a reference to the connector 61138380696 but I think these are the wrong ones for me.

After the wires are connected to the LED trim piece I’m also stuck on where they go after that. I know they have to attach to the footwell lighting circuit but could you describe how to do this and what I need please. I have no experience doing anything like this so even though what I need to do is probably simple, I have no idea.

Sorry to jump on an older thread, I have exactly the same question as the above. I can see the response about the T clips into the footwell light but my question is around combining the three coloured cables (green, blue, etc) into one cable to attach to the footwell lighting circuit. Is anyone able to explain exactly what is needed? Apologies if this is a simple question, I have no previous electrical experience short of replacing fuses.

Hi
I did order this connection part from Ali Express,
It just plug and play part,
He did sale full Set but I already have the led dash

I just installed and all colors are here

Any updates on this?
If LCI cars have the wiring behind the passenger dash, anyone have pics? Plug straight in or is a loom needed?
Did anyone ever figure out coding for the dash wiring way to work?

Well I've fitted mine, using the LCI1 wiring that's already there. This is my preferred method as I don't want to be buying plugs and chopping into wires when I already have wiring.
Obviously I'm now stuck on the coding, it MUST be possible as that's how dealerships/factory get them working.

LCI1 wiring (originally hidden away behind the metal)...

Got it sorted, I had to re-read this entire thread about five times :ROFLMAO:
There's some great photos by gonzallo, unfortunately little to zero explanation about what to do, also many misleading photos. And then there's some way overly complicated wiring by others for something relatively simple.
Mine uses the existing LCI1 wiring behind the dash, but I still had to tap into the passenger footwell light.
I may do a detailed how-to at some point.
